Urban Farmers specialists from the British School in Tokyo (BST) will be hosting a three-session series of workshops on the concept of urban farming. In the first session, you will learn what urban farming is and how it can help you achieve a sustainable urban lifestyle. The second session will focus on soil and compost, exploring how plants grow and what is in the soil. In the third session, you will learn about pest control for farming and think together about alternatives to pesticides. Why not take home what you made in the workshop and continue urban farming at home?

In the third session, we will learn about pest control for farming, and together we will look at alternatives to pesticides and how to use them. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a sun hat as some activities will be outdoors.

Notes
・Please participate in all three sessions to understand what urban farming is and how to put it into practice. If you would like to participate in only one or both sessions, please apply using the "Apply for one session" form for each date you would like to participate.
・The organizers may ask you to bring materials to be used in the workshop (simple items such as plastic bottles).
・If you have any allergies to food, medicine, etc., please let us know. Depending on the materials used in the workshop, we will provide them separately.

・To fully understand urban farming and how to practice it, we highly recommend that your child attend all three sessions. If you wish to participate in only one or two sessions, please register for those individual sessions through the Single Session Registration page.
・The management may ask you to bring your own materials for use in the workshop (simple items such as plastic bottles, etc.).
・Please let us know if you have any allergies to foods, drugs, etc. Depending on the materials to be used in the workshop, we will prepare them separately.
