This is an event to experience data science for elementary school students and their parents, or junior high school groups. Based on the theme of their own interest, participants collect data on their own, and with the support of SAS employees, create and present posters using data analysis. Perfect for free research during summer vacation!

Maximum number of participants
August 19 (Sat) 15 groups (1 group consisting of up to 2 elementary school students and 1 guardian. However, up to 1 poster per group)
August 20 (Sun) 5 groups (1 group of 3 junior high school students, up to 1 poster per group)
Eligible ages
Elementary school 2nd to junior high school 3rd grade
・August 19th (Saturday) is for elementary school students
・August 20 (Sun) is for junior high school students
Parent/guardian accompaniment
Elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian

Things to prepare
The following items are required for the workshop.
・ Summary sheet (submit in advance)
・ Collected data (Please bring on the day)
Remarks
・Please note that the event may be postponed if the number of participants is not reached.
・Please submit a summary sheet in advance and prepare data on the theme you are interested in. (Guidance will be provided)
・Please refrain from wearing sandals, etc., as scissors and cutters will be used.

We will create a poster using the basics of data science "statistics". Participants should refer to the following videos and work guides to prepare and participate in the event on the day.
