~You too can become a young Sapporo Ramen master starting today~
Nishiyama Seimen is a long-established noodle company based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, that popularized the "yellow, curly noodles" that are synonymous with Sapporo ramen and supports Hokkaido's ramen culture. With the belief that "Sapporo ramen is a food culture created by the people of Sapporo working together," Nishiyama Seimen conducts factory tours every year for approximately 14,000 elementary school students in Sapporo.
This time, in an effort to share ramen culture, we're venturing outside of Hokkaido to hold our first-ever workshop that delves into the secrets of making delicious ramen. You'll learn about the characteristics of Sapporo ramen and ramen from various regions of Japan in a fun way, and then you'll get to experience making fresh noodles (stretching, cutting, curling, etc.). Finally, you'll enjoy delicious Sapporo ramen made with the fresh noodles you made yourself.
Learn about, make, and eat ramen – experience the fun of ramen culture!
*This workshop will primarily involve stretching, cutting, and hand-kneading the noodle dough that we have prepared for you. The noodle boiling and soup heating will be handled by our professional staff. Finally, you will choose and add your own toppings.
*Each person will receive approximately 4 servings of ramen (fresh noodles). You can take home any portion you do not eat.
*We also have souvenirs available (a set of 4 servings of dried Nishiyama ramen).
