Did you know there are actually 40 different kinds of "masu sushi"!? Enjoy a luxurious 7-variety tasting and hands-on workshop!

Masu sushi is a well-known specialty of Toyama. Do you think they all taste the same?
Actually, there are about 40 different kinds of masuzushi in Toyama Prefecture, and each shop has its own unique flavor and special touches!

Therefore, we will be holding a workshop to delve deeper into the charm of "masu sushi," which is packed with the rich nature and history of Toyama.

In this workshop, we will invite the 7th generation "Masu Sushi Prince" from Sekinoya, the originator of Masu Sushi, to funnily unravel the amazing world of Masu Sushi.
In the first half of the workshop, we will introduce the food culture of Toyama Prefecture, including its nature and history. Afterwards, we will talk about the origins and recent characteristics of Masu-zushi (trout sushi).
In the second half, we offer everything from a tasting of seven different types of trout sushi showcasing the craftsmanship of the artisans, to an authentic hands-on experience making trout sushi using specially made bentwood boxes and bamboo leaves!

You can enjoy eating it, have fun making it, and learn a little more about Toyama and masu sushi.
Please enjoy this "delicious learning" experience that will allow you to discover the charm of Toyama and Masu Sushi!
