A workshop on making your own pickled vegetables using Milky Queen, the highest quality rice produced in Ibaraki Prefecture, hosted by the pickled vegetables specialty store, Saikaya. Milky Queen rice bran is exceptionally sweet and mellow. This workshop allows you to experience and take home the deliciousness of your own pickled vegetables for the New Year holidays.

Participation Fee
5,500 yen/person (tax included)
*You can take home about 2 kg of matured rice bran bed that can be used from the day, as well as basic rice bran pickles to be pickled that day.

None *If children wish to participate, a parent or guardian must accompany them and provide support.

Preparations (please bring with you)
・Bandana (triangular scarf) *Please bring one if you are concerned about hair and other debris getting into your pickles.
・Towel *Please prepare a towel as bran may stick to your hands or luggage.
・Shopping bag for take-out *The size of the pickle container we give you will be (17.8cm width x 24cm length x 12cm height).

・Your clothes may get dirty during the workshop, so please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
